Abstract:National Chebaling Nature Reserve is situated in the southeastern part of Shixing County, Northern part of Guangdong Province. That is located between the northern fringe of the Southern Subtropic Region and the Southern edge of Central Subtropic Region. The area of this Nature Reserve were about 7 545 hectares which about 60% covered by vast forest and thickly shrubes or grasses, and with many brooks and valleys. Altogether 16 species or subspecies (about 34.79% of species belong to the Guangdong Province) of Amphibia (belonging to 2 orders, 7 families, and 9 genera) (see list 1) founded in this Nature Reserve. Acording to the "The Zoogeographical Regions of China" proposed by cheng and Zhang, among these 16 amphibian species, they are all belongs to the Oriental Realm. As to the regional distribution of them, 50.0% of number of species belongs to the Middle-South China Regions, 37.5% belongs to the Middle China Region and 12.5% species belongs to the South China Region. There are 36 species or subspecies (about 26.87% of species belongs to the Guangdong Province)of Reptilia which belongs to 3 orders, 10 families and 26 genera (see list 2). 86.11% of them belong to the Ogientai Realm, and 13.89% belong to the spread far and wide species in China. As to the regional distribution of these reptiles belongs to the Oriental Realm, 48.38% of the number of species belongs to the Middle-South China Regions, 25.81% belongs to the South China Region, 16.13% belongs to the Middle China Region and 9.68% belongs to the South-Southwestern China Regions.
