| Abstract: | Author has experimentally studied the thermal lens effect with a ruby laser lod which has polished sarface and three Alexandrite laser lods which have rough surfaces. The experimental results are given and the differences between them are discussed and analyzed theoritically. And the experimental results agree with the theoritical analyses. It has some reference values in designing solid laser rods. |
