Application of NS in Computer Network Teaching

A new method to assist computer network teaching,which constructs a virtual network environment with the free software:NS2(Network Simulator version 2).This method provides a new way to develop computer network teaching plan,which is more intuitive and more precise than the traditional ways.The usage of open source software avoids the problems caught by the copyright.Because of the code of the NS2 is open to us,which makes the process of network simulation flexible and transparent.There'are many ways for data analysis,therefore the result of the network simulation can be analyzed in different directions.With the help of the Gnuplot,which contained in the NS2 developer suite,network simulation trace file can get statistical analysis.
