Understanding of the goal of strengthening the army in the new situation from three dimensions

This paper analyzes the background, scientific connotation, spiritual essence, and practical requirements for the goal of strengthening the army set by the Party from three dimensions. From the viewpoint of history and reality, the goal set by the Party is based on the summarization of our Party＇s successful experiences in building the armed forces and the analysis of the international strategic situa- tion and national security environment as well as the main problems existing in China＇s army construc- tion. From the viewpoint of inheritance and innovation, the implementation of the goal is to study the Party＇s military theories, carry forward its fine tradition and act on the objective law of army con- struction. From the viewpoint of theory and practice, the goal points out the direction of advancing national defense and military construction for the purpose of winning battles.
