通过对传统图书馆员和新时期图书馆员的角色比较，指出新时期图书馆员角色应当是信息的分析家、咨询家和教育家，为了实现角色转换，图书馆员应从改变思想观念、培养情报意识及加强科学文化知识等方面来增强自身的业务素质。

Discussion on the Role Changing of the Hospital Librarians in the New Period

Through the comparison of the role of the traditional librarian and the modern librarian, this paper points out that the modern librarian must be th e analysist, consultancy export and educationist of information. In order to rea lize the role change, the librarian should strengthen the new period information service, suggests that the librarian must strengthen his own professional quali ty from aspects of changing the ideological conception, training the information consciousness, and learning the sci-tech and cultural knowledge, etc.
