| Abstract: | This paper first introduces the basic ideas of wavelet transform and multi-resolution analysis. It further discusses common steps of image compression coding based on wavelet transform and the features of wavelet transform. The paper finally provides the main coding algorithms in the wavelet transform in image compression. |
