Computing Method of Specific Resistances of Constant Pressure Filtrating Fermented Broth Based on MATLAB---Taking Bacillus amyloliquefaciens Q -426 as an Example

This paper presents a method to determine the cake specific resistances(CSR)for constant pressure filtrating fermented broth of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens Q – 426 using MATLAB’s Curve Fitting Toolbox. The acquired data was imported and smoothed via the graphical user interface (GUI). Smoothing spline was used to produce smooth curves to fit to the data, and the CSR was calculated by numerical differentiation. The study showed that the calculated results are accurate and reliable.Compared with the traditional calculations, this method provides visualized results, and the GUI simplifies the calculation and makes it intuitive. It can be easily mastered for those who are not adept programmers.
