| Abstract: | Two novel biomarkers, 1,3-eicosanediol (4a) and 1,3-octacosanediol (4b)were synthesised from 1-octadecanol (1a) and 1-hexacosanol (1b) respectively in three steps by employing Reformatsky reaction as a key step. |
