A Brief Account of the Procreation Worship Implicated in the Rice Cultivation of Dali Bai People

Worship of procreation is a universal phenomenon among rice-growing peoples. The Bai, as a rice-growing people with a long history of farming, also have vulvate and phallic worship in diverse forms and with rich connotation in their rice-growing culture. This paper discusses these special cultural phenomena and analyses their cultural connotation and spiritual essence. We hope more scholars will join us to study these phenomena.
