摘    要:利用颜色特征提出一种数字式仪表读数定位方法,先对仪表彩色图像进行颜色特征转换,将仪表中的液晶屏区域分割出来,然后对液晶屏图像进行二值化,最后利用读数字符串的投影特征对字符串进行精确定位。利用现场实际采集的仪表图像进行实验,实验结果表明该算法对光照不均以及复杂背景具有较好的适应能力,有效地解决了静态图像和复杂背景下数字式仪表图像中的读数定位问题,且定位准确度较高。

Abstract:A digital meter reading localization method based on color features is presented. First, the colored input image is transformed to distinguish the LCD(liquid crystal display) area from the other areas. Then, the LCD image is binarized and the meter reading characters are localized through employing the projecting features. An experiment was done with some digital images collected from the actual working environment. The experimental result shows that the method is applicable to uneven illumination and complex background circumstances, and it resolves the reading localization problem existing in the still image, and the complex background, and the localization accuracy is high.
