论晚清小说中留学生形象的书写

晚清小说中的留学生是中国小说史上亘古未有的人物形象,主要由其在国内的活动塑造而成,并受到作者的政治倾向影响。留学生形象的重要特征表现在改装和剪辫上。在晚清小说中,留学生形象大多写得浮光掠影,如蜻蜓点水,唯有《苦学生》以整篇的篇幅来书写。这是晚清小说塑造留学生这一新形象的状况,或者说成绩。
