| Abstract: | Axially symmetric rotor plus quasiparticle model for odd nucleus is generalized to odd-odd nucleus and special attention is paid for the first time to the model basis accouting for proton-neutron interaction. The method presented in this paper is used for a number of realistic nuclei in A = 160 mass region, the calculated results are in quantitative agreement with experiment A possible explanation of the mechanism for signature inversion of odd-odd nuclei is also discussed. |
