摘    要:以可再生的生物质资源替代不可再生的化石资源,实现工业原材料的根本转变,是转变经济增长模式、保障社会经济可持续发展的重大战略需求。木质纤维原料富含己糖和戊糖,而微生物戊糖代谢能力上的不足是一个共性问题。因此,解析微生物戊糖代谢及其调控过程的本质.是拓展微生物底物利用范围、提高微生物利用木质纤维原料能力的关键。本文综合概括了戊糖代谢及其调控的研究意义、国内外的研究概况、拟解决的关键科学问题以及研究方向。

Abstract:The substitution of petrochemicals with renewable lignocellulosic resources for fermentation can lead to fundamental changes in supplying industrial materials, which conforms to the strategy of sustainable development of economy and society.Lignocellulose is rich in hexose and pentose.Low efficiency in pentose utilization is a common problem to most of microorganisms.Therefore, it is necessary to investigate metabolic pathways and the regulatory mechanism of pentose utilization of industrially important microorganisms, which aims at improving lignocellulose utilization efficiency and extending the substrate range.Here we present an introduction to the proposal of this research, including the significance, recent progresses, and scientific issues to be addressed.
