| Abstract: | The discussion of contrastive studies of languages and cultures in English and Chinese translation has proved that the interrelationship exists between languages and cultures. As illustrated in this paper, translation research attaches great importance to the comparative studies of languages and cultures, while the comparative studies of cultures lay much emphasis upon the contrastive studies of languages. |
