| Abstract: | In this paper, a direct method of calculating secondary moments in statically indeterminate structures is presented. The secondary moments can be computed directly from the form of the prestressed steels and the value of the prestressing force. The secondary moments varying along the tendons due to prestressing losses can also be accurately calculated. An available method of calculating the secondary moments is presented in statically indeterminate structures including bars of the varying cross section. The secondary moments can also be accurately calculated when the prestressed steels in structure are provided to all different function curve. |
