证明了在有限闭间区上用行波法和分离变量法求出的１维波动方程初边值混合问题的解是一致的。这里的结果表明均匀弦线的振动也可理解为无限多个行波的叠加。

Traveling and Stationary Waves in a Vibrating Uniform String

It is proven that the solution to initial-value and boundary-value and initial-value mixed problem of wave equations on a finite closed intival given by the travelling wave method is consistent with that given by the separating variable method. The result shows that the vibration of uniform string is superposition of infinite number of traveling waves.
