| Abstract: | The novel is adapted from Jia Pingwa,the author's own life experiences.Through the life stories and e- motionsl experiences of the 4 heroines in the work,the author tries to depict the fate changes of females under the impact of the modem civilization and commercial influences,criticizing profoundly of spiritual and moral degradation in the modern society. |
