汉英文都有丰富的动物词汇,但由于英汉文化的差异较大,不同文化背景的人对同一种动物赋予了相同或不同的喻意和情感,导致汉英文中大量的动物名词以及动物词汇的喻意是异多同少。本文试从几种动物生肖词汇中的英汉喻意对比中了解汉英文化的差异,并加深对汉英文化特点的理解。

Study on the Contrast of English and Chinese Connotations of Animal Years

There are so many vocabularies with relation to animals in both english and chinese culture. Because of the influence of different cultural backgrounds, Chinese and English give their similar of different connotations to the same animal. This article tries to explore the cultural similarity and differences in terms of contrasting the connotations of some animal years in english and Chinese. It also strengthens people to understand both Chinese and English cultural features.
