| Abstract: | The set of all the matrices commutating with a given matrix A is called the centralizer of A,which forms a subspace of the linear space Mn（F） of all the n × n matrices over an algebraically closed field F. Based on the notion of Weyr matrix, the dimension and an F-basis of the centralizer of a given matrix are obtained explicitly. |
