The application of Kronecker product in the design and analysis of experiments

In this article, we illustrate how Kronecker products can be used to represent general experimental design models including fixed, random and mixed effect models, and to represent sums of squares as quadratic forms. We then offer an alternetive method for deriving the expected sums of squares based on these representations. The results of this article can be extended to other designs.
