摘    要:<正>通过8代马尾松毛虫(Dendrolimus punctatus Walker)幼虫室内饲养和野外调查,明确了该虫在宁溧山区一年发生2~3代,以2代为主,幼虫一生为害针叶量接近3000cm,折合鲜重13.4g,干重5.04g。不同性别的幼虫取食量和排粪量均有显著差异,末龄幼虫为害量占总为害量的70%以上。幼龄林上的幼虫越冬期大都在梢头针叶丛中。

THE BIOLOGY OF AND THE DAMAGE CAUSED TO PINES BY THE PINE-MOTH IN THE MOUNTAINOUS REGIONS OF JIANGNING AND LISHUI, JIANGSU PROVINCE
Abstract:The Massonis Pino Caterpillar occures two to three generations every year in the pine stands in the mountainous regions of Jiangning and Lishui counties, Jiangsu Provinee, usually two generations. Most larvae overwinter in needle clusters at the tips of trees in younger stands attacked by the pest. The average destruction of pine needles by a single larva is 2834.10cm in length (about l3.40g fresh weight or 5.04g dry weight). There are significant variations of amounts of feeds and excrement between male and female larvae. Instar larvae at their last stage defoliat about of the feeds consumed by the larva 70-80% in its whole larvae period.
