| Abstract: | The way of applying the complex method to optimization design of arch dams is illustrated. According to the features of the optimization design of arch dams, a lot of improvements on the complex method are proposed to reduce the frequency and time of complicated stress analysis. Besides the treatment of some details of the programme is also presented. |
