摘    要:针对传统TCP协议应用于无线网络的局限性,提出一种基于发送方的拥塞控制改进方案(WNR-TCP):当链路发生数据丢失时,发送方根据收到的确认包所携带的信息统计相对单向延迟的变化趋势,判断丢包原因是网络拥塞还是无线链路出错,从而采取不同的措施,避免传统TCP协议调整拥塞窗口的盲目性。仿真实验表明:在异构网络中,与传统TCP协议以及同类改进方案相比,这种改进办法能显著改善TCP的性能。

Abstract:Compared with wired networks, wireless networks have many different characteristics. This results in an unnecessary reduction in TCP performance in hybrid wired/wireless networks. We propose a sender-oriented approach to congestion control that improves upon the performance of TCP Newreno over heterogeneous networks. When the indications of packet loss arrive, the sender will distinguish congestion losses from wireless losses based on the increasing trend of the relative one-way delay. Hence a more appropriate recovery scheme will modify the corresponding part of TCP NewReno. The simulation results show that in heterogeneous networks this new version performs better than other TCP variants.
