The problem of western higher education in China originates from history and is prominent in the present.It is a complicated problem worthy of in-depth study and a proposition of the times that China’s higher education must answer.As a regional,universal and comprehensive issue in modern society,the issue of Xibu higher education has a broad and profound representation.At present,the researcher of Xibu higher education is converging;relevant research has passed the embryonic and hotspot period,and has entered a period of introspection and self-consciousness;the research content has extensively covered various aspects such as problem diagnosis,cause exploration and countermeasure suggestions.The revitalization thinking is also undergoing a transition from“blood transfusion”to“hematopoiesis”mode.It is necessary to upgrade from a regional understanding to a domain level in the further research,to examine Xibu higher education from a disciplinary perspective,to propose improvements and revitalization strategies from the perspectives of institutional guarantees,talent gathering,knowledge accumulation,and practice deepening,and to provide unique knowledge,experience and wisdom for the revitalization of higher education in other late-developing regions.
