论学生思想道德的发散与收敛

随着改革开放的进一步深入，时下对学生的思想道德教育，强调开拓、创新、竞争意识，而忽视了自力更生，艰苦创业、勤俭节约、尊老爱幼、关心他人、乐于奉献、热爱祖国等中华民族的光荣传统。作者用自己教学的实践，提出了学生思想道德既要弘扬时代精神，又要继承优良传统，并借用数学上的“发散”与“收敛”两个概念，辩证地论述了两者关系。

Divergence & Convergence of the Students' Moral

With the reform and the opening in China, we stress enterprising spirit, blazing new trails and competion in the moral education of the students,while neglect the Chinese glorious traditions, such as selfreliance, hard work and plain living, respecting the old and loving the young, helping the others, making sacrifices, having deep love for motherland and so on. From my own teaching practice, I think we should carry forward not only the spirit of our age, but also the good traditions, and here I quote two concepts from mathematics - divergence and convergence to dialectically express the relationship between them.
