Analysis on the Current Reform of CET4 and CET6 and the Countermeasures

This paper conducts a comparatively comprehensive analysis on the CET4 and CET6 reform that is be- ing experimented and promoted. It is pointed out that CET reform conforms to the demand of the times and the require- ment of college English teaching reform. The advantages of computer based test and the insuperable drawbacks of the traditional paper and pen test determine that computer based test replacing paper and pen test is the general trend. The reform of test method and test content brings about new challenges to college English teaching. Finally, some sugges- tions and countermeasures are provided to colleges and universities, college English teachers and students for their use and reference.
