| Abstract: | This thesis choose a fresh angle(the feeling of being in a dream) to study Hawthorne's The House of the Seven Gables.The author pointed out the spell of this novel lies in its quality of dreams and revealed what its dream characteristics are and how they are formed,and hence discussed about Hawthorne's writing style and artistic techniques. |
