A Comparative Study of the Training System of Basketball Players between Chinese and American Universities

With the help of documents and data,the paper makes a comprehensive analysis and comparison about the training system of high level basketball players between Chinese and American universities.The study shows that compared with the Chinese universities,the American universities have a longer history of the development of basketball,a more satisfacotry variety of basketball courts and facilities,a more active participation of the media, a larger number of universities and greater percentage of univeristy enrollment of high school graudates,a more perfected basketball competition system in primary and high schools,higher cultural demands for high level basketball players, a larger amount of weekly training and more normal comopetitions every year,a better pay and conditions for basketball team members at school, a wider range of employment choices and a higher level of basketball sports.Hence,the more perfected training system of basketball players of American universities than their Chinese counterparts.
