| Abstract: | In this paper, we propose that an imprecise concept in an abstract knowledge base may be represented approximately by using a cut of a fuzzy set. Further, we discuss basic properties and topological characterization of the imprecision. This paper may be regarded as the basis of fuzzy representation theory, which plays a key role in discussing the reduction of knowledge, the extension of knowledge and the application to machine learning. |
