Relevance Translation or Direct Translation

Tin recent years, much attention has been paid to the relevance-theoretic account of translation itself and its application in various domains. And one heated topic about the theory itself is its emphasis on degrees of reliability and validity. The author holds that the theory does not focus on indirect translation only, that is, validity is not the only pursuit. And with examples from literary translation, the article is devoted to making it clear that relevance-theoretic notion of translation does not only attach importance to validity, but also to reliabilitv. It is the unification of the above two principles.
