Composite Medium Model of Strata Movement and Its Engineering Verification

The laminated discrete dual medium model of strata movement is established by taking the overburden rockmass as the macro system composite media. The comprehensive movement pattern of the whole overburden strata is explored by using the method of thin plate medium analysis combined with discrete element numerical modelling,which provides the reliable basis of surface subsidence relief technique. A practical case study of surface subsidence described in this paper serves as the engineering verification of the proposed method.
