“女书”起源研究的争鸣及其学术意义

湖南江永＂女书＂作为世界唯一的女性文字,其起源问题一直是学术界关注的重点和难点,学者们进行了多种解读,其中以＂女书＂是商代古文字的孑遗演变和＂女书＂起源于明清时代说影响最大并引发了争鸣。从对这场学术争论进行梳理和评论看,明清二代理学的传入与当地女性自由独立的风俗的冲突是＂女书＂产生的土壤,道教符箓派是＂女书＂文字来源。

Debate on the Origins of Nüshu and Its Academic Significance

Nüshu proves to be the only female characters in the world whose origin has been the key and difficulty in the academic circles.Scholars interpret it in different ways.The focus has been on when Nüshu began.The two viewpoints that’ Nüshu originated from the relics of the ancient Shang Dynasty or it started in Ming and Qing dynasties have exerted most extensive influence and aroused most academic debates.This paper reviews and makes comments on the academic debates and comes to the conclusion that the conflict between the introduction of Neo Confucianism and the local women’s freedom and independence provide Nüshu with preconditions while Taoist invocation provide it with source text.
