| 摘 要： | 环境影响评价是一项重要的环境管理手段,是保证人类活动与自然环境相协调,实现可持续发展的一项重要的政策措施.文章简要介绍了新疆的环境影响评价的现状,从新疆作为中国西部一个具有独特生态环境和经济特点的欠发达地区为着眼点,指出在我区发展与环境保护的协调关系是一个极为重要的课题.因此,环境与发展的综合决策就显得尤为重要,而作为这一决策过程中首要环节的环境影响评价对新疆的经济、社会和环境的协调发展具有更加特殊的意义.

| Abstract: | EIA has been practiced and accepted for years in our country besides in Xinjiang. The paper analyzed the present situation and problems of EIA in our country and Xinjiang, and particularly pointed out the extreme importance of EIA in Xinjiang for it's special environment character and the need of the sustainable development. |
