中国嫁接技艺的起源和演进

人工嫁接是一项世界性的园艺技术，但人们对于嫁接技术的起源及其演进历程却还知之甚少。中国的嫁接技术起源于自然接木现象的启示、插条繁殖技术的发展和自然界中半寄生植物种间关系的启示。根据文献记载，中国嫁接技术的起源至少可以追溯到周秦时代，其后代有演进，嫁接植物的种类和嫁接的方式都不断丰富完善。

ORIGIN AND DEVELOPMENT OF GRAFTING IN ANCIENT CHINA

Artificial grafting is a universal horticultural technique; but at present people seem to know little about its origin and development. The grafting technique in China was originated by the inspiration of phenomena of natural grafting (such as trees connected naturally by stem; branch or root); by the development of propagation through cutting; and by being enlightened by the interspecific relationship of semiparasitic plats. According to what is put down in historical documents; its origin can at least be traced back to the Zhou-Qin period (11th century B.C. - 206 B.C.)and it was in later ages that it got developed with a continuous increase in variety and improvement of its methods.
