| 摘 要： | 英汉动物词汇的文化内涵充分体现了英汉两个民族不同的文化心理、价值取向与社会风格，折射出两个民族各自绚丽多姿的文化形态。由于不同的文化背景，对同一动物词产生不同的联想，对同一动物词赋予不同的文化内涵。因此，英、汉两种语言使用和翻译中，应该注意到词汇的文化内涵。

| Abstract: | Cultural meanings of English and Chinese animal words show two different cultural mentalities of two different races, different values and social styles. They also reflect gorgeous cultures of two races. Because of different cultural backgrounds, different associations and cultural meanings are infused to the same animal words. Therefore, in using these two languages, we should pay attention to cultural meanings of these words. |
