| Abstract: | This paper attempts to discuss that the origination of Aunt Cui's tragedy lies not only superficia-lly on her character as weak as LIN Dai-yu, but also deeply on the worldly authority and social benigh-tedness as cruel as the cutting wind and biting frost with which she confronted. The paper further exploits the aesthetic effects of Aunt Cui's tragedy. |
