Stable dislocation configuration in the surface layer of metals

The stable dislocation configuration in the surface layer of metals was calculated according to dislocation energy theory. It was shown that the stable dislocation configuration was only influenced by Burger’s vector, while dislocation line could fluctuate closely around the direction vertical to free surface in a limited range.
