Philosophy of Engineering Sciences and Philosophy of Technology

Technology and engineering sciences, philosophy of technology and philosophy of engineering sciences are the research fields which are both related and deferent. This dialogue around the topic tries to investigate the relationship between the current two disputed disciplines. Prof. Poser believes that it is not necessary to divide philosophy of technology and philosophy of engineering into two independent fields on their relationship. Furthermore, the most distinguished characteristics of the philosophy of technology or engineering sciences are the intended (valued) element within. Accordingly, philosophy of engineering sciences presupposes philosophy of technology in the sense of a theory of artefacts. It depends on a definition whether one takes it as a part of philosophy of technology or not.
