| Abstract: | In accordance with the hydraulic characteristics of water network, this paper advances the objective function of optimal design regarding pipe flow and pipe pressure as unknown variables. On the basis of specific property of the linear constraints, the obviously effective Reduced Gradient Method was used in the subject. By the transform of objective function, the problem of standardizing diameter was solved successfully. It proves that the technique is practical by some examples. |
