A Study of English Idioms Based on Myths and Fables |

| Abstract: | An idiom is a kind of linguistic phenomenon, which reflects a linguistic culture and historic background. Idioms are often evolved from historical events, customs, legends or parables. This paper makes the study on some idioms originated from Greece and Roman mythology and the Aesop's Fables and tries to explore the cultural connotations of them. |
