Experimental-Numerical Hybrid Technique for Structural Analysis

This paper briefly describes a kind of hybrid method combining the experimental and numerical techniques for structural analysis. The hybrid experimental-numerical technique yields reliable information which may be difficult to obtain by the single use of either the experimental or numerical technique. The application of the hybrid technique in experimental mechanics has been demonstrated to be useful in the fields of stress analysis, fracture mechanics in structural analyses and biomechanics problems. In the threedimensional stress problems this method works successfully.
