摘    要:超宽带无线电以其特有的优点,适合于解决军用无线通信网所关心的隐蔽性和数据吞吐量两大难题。为避免将传统分组无线网PRN中的MAC层信令用于超宽带无线电分组无线网时造成超宽带无线电隐蔽性的降低,讨论了一种使物理层保持连接的MAC层方案,即SLN(Sustained Link Networks)。分析表明,使用SLN的超宽带无线电系统比传统PRN的MAC层信令具有较大优势。

Abstract:Ultra Wideband (UWB) radio may solve such problems of packet radio networks (PRN) as covertness and throughput. Ultra Wideband radio is going to be considered as the physical layer for future networks. Unfortunately, the covertness degradation of UWB signal arises when the UWB PRN adopted the conventional MAC layer schemes. This paper discusses a new MAC layer scheme, the sustained link networks (SLN). Our analysis suggests that the SLN would outperform the conventional PRN for the application of UWB radio.
