摘    要:随着互联网的发展,IPv4定义的有限地址空间将被耗尽.地址空间的不足必将影响互联网的进一步发展,此外IPv4作为简单的网络互通协议,其中没有包含安全特性,攻击所导致的潜在危害将具有空前的破坏性,为了解决这些问题因特网工程任务组(IETF)提出了新一代的互联网协议IPv6.

Abstract:With the popular use of internet lately, the limited address space which is defined by IPv4 is going to be insufficient. This will place a negative impact on the industry of the internet. In addition, IPv4 has been proved to be a simple internet protocol without security concern, which may lead to a potential damage. In order to resolve this issue IETF has announced a new internet protocol, IPv6. This article discusses the new design structure, major improvement as well as the drawbacks and threats of IPv6.
