一维光子晶体的缺陷模式研究

摘    要:利用传波矩阵方法,计算了电磁波在带有缺陷的一维光子晶体中的传波。数值计算表明,在只有一个缺陷层时,缺陷模式频率与缺陷层在光子晶体中的位置无关,当有两个缺陷层出现时,缺陷模式频率与缺陷层在光子晶体中的位置是有关的。另外,计算也表明,缺陷模式频率对缺陷层材料的折射率变化是非常敏感的。

Abstract:We compute the electromagnetic transmission through one-dimensional photonic band gap (PBG) structure with defect layers by using transfer matrix method (TMM). Numerical results find that defect mode frequency is independent of the position of defect layer when there is only single defect layer in one-dimensional PBG structure, and that defect mode frequencies are dependent of the location of defect layers when there are two defect layers. In addition, defect mode frequency is very sensitive to refractive index of defect layer medium. These phenomena may be useful in the design of optical devices and precise measurement of refractive index of dielectric.
