地方性高校开展双语教学的实践与思考

我国自加入WTO后，高等教育面临着国际化的挑战。高校双语教学作为实现国际化的过渡形式已被许多高校广泛地应用，但双语教学基本上处于起步阶段，仍存在许多问题。文章就我国高校开展双语教学的产生背景、双语教学的含义、特征及与其他外语教学形式之间的关系进行了简要阐述，并针对目前地方性高校双语教学所存在的问题提出几点建议，以期为更好地开展双语教学提供参考。

Practice and Reflection of Conducting Bilingual Education in Local Universities

The high education in China is confronted with internationalizing challenge after entry into WTO. As a bridge to internationalization, bilingual education has been extensively applied in many universities. However, there are still some problems to conduct it since we have just taken the elementary step. This paper briefly reviews the historical background, significance and properties to start bilingual education as well as its relationship with other foreign language education. Finally, some referential suggestions are put forth to solve the current problems existing in local universities.
