| 摘 要： | 《西厢记》中红娘的言语刻画出这一艺术形象鲜明的个性。从现代语用学的角度，利用礼貌原则的基本理论说明红娘在言语交际中的成功之处，分析其个性特征。通过这种分析，来探讨礼貌原则的运用在言语交际中的重要性。

| Abstract: | The matchmakers＇speech in The Romance of West Chamber depicts personality with clear-cut artistic image. This paper, from the perspective of modem pragmatics, draws on the basic theory of politeness principle to illustrate the success of matchmakers speech communication and analyse their individual feature. Such analysis demonstrates the importance of politeness principle in verbal communication. |
