Abstract: | A rigorous analysis of the input impedance of a tunable rectangular microstrip antenna is presented. First the scattered electromagnetic field due to the patch current is derived by using Fourier transforms. Then Pichmond's reaction integral equation in conjunction with the method of moments is used to derive the surface current on the patch. The patch current is used to predict the input impedance properties of the microstrip antenna. Numerical results for input impedances are presented. Some of these results are compared with the measured data available in the literature. Huang JingXi: born in Nov. 1937. Prof. Current research interest is in Microwave and Antennas |
