Abstract:A modified method of polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (PAGE) to analyze esterase isoenzymes was used in this research. It improved greatly the resolution of isozymograms. The soybean seeds of four evolutionary types at Northern latitude 35 degrees and 45 degrees had been analyzed. The results show that the expression and regulation of some esterase isoenzyme genes are distinctly different in these evolutionary types.
