| Abstract: | The mathematical concepts and fundamental properties of elasticity are discussed. It is proved that the elasticity of production function is the index of economics of scale and that the elasticity of production function is the reciprocal of that of cost function and gives the relationship between the economics of scale and the average cost function in three production stages. |
