专科英语专业新生学习策略的调查研究

摘    要:本研究采用实证研究的方法,对2006年9月份刚入学的99名专科英语专业新生进行了一项学习策略的调查。调查显示:专科英语专业新生的学习策略使用频率属中等水平,六类策略的使用频率由高到低分别为情感策略、补偿策略、元认知策略、认知策略、社会策略和记忆策略;66项策略中经常使用的有12项,很少使用的6项;高分组与低分组在各类策略使用上有显著和特别显著的差异。本研究成果对专科英语专业教学有一定的现实指导意义。

Abstract:This survey studies the English learning strategies used by three-year college English major freshmen by means of quantitative method.The major findings are as follows:(1)the subjects don't adopt the learning strategies frequently.Ranked in terms of total frequency,the strategies used by the subjects are affective,compensatory,metacognitive,cognitive,social and memory strategies.(2)Of the 66 specific learning strategies,twelve of them are of ten used and six of them are rarely used.(3)There exist differences in the strategy use between effective and ineffective learners.The findings are of great importance to the English teaching in three-year colleges.
